Summary: Shows a typical selection of about 100 photos from a newspaper editor's desk: personalities, gag shots, movie stills, spot news, sports, fashions, feature stories, construction of a dam, exercises for going to sleep, women barbers, a day with Luise Rainer (movie actress), etc., etc. Many show cropping or stripping lines, prepared overlays, retouching, etc., treatment of photos in newspaper business. The movie stills include A Christmas Carol (1938), Ice Follies of 1939, and Little Orphan Anne (1938). Also, small lsnapshots of road conditions on the Baltimore-Washington Boulevard [State Route 1].
