Identification provided by Amy Jones in April 2011, based on carte de visite in her collection. From Civil War database: Lambert enlisted in 1863 as a First Lieutenant, served in the New Jersey 27th Infantry and 33rd Infantry, and mustered out as a Major (Brevet, Vol) in 1865. He died in Philadelphia in 1912.
