Newspaper clipping on verso: Nylons Five Grand a Pair!: But the five grand, customers, means $5000 worth of war bonds. That was the peak price paid today in a war bond auction at the Arnold, Constable & Co. store, and when the smoke of battle had cleared away, 200 pairs of coveted stockings had brought a total of $30,000 in war bond sales. That's Frederic March functioning as auctioneer. ; Frederic March helps sell hose on Croesus level.
