Title: Veterans Administration appears before house veterans committee. Washington, D.C., Feb. 21. U.S. Veterans Administrator Frank T. Hines today urged the House World War Veterans Committee to refer all bills for veterans hospitals to the Federal Board of Hospitalization so that a scientific plan can be adopted for providing care. He said that board is now studying the entire country in an attempt to equalize veterans hospital facilities and provide the correct proportion of beds for veterans in each area. Hines said present plans call for 82,026 beds by the end of June, 1940.
