Title: Urges equipment and work loans to railroads. Washington, D.C., May 5. RFC Head Jesse Jones today urged equipment and work loans to railroads as a means of speedy re-employment and maintaining safety. He was testifying before the Senate Banking and Currency Committee in connection with a bill introduced by Senator Harry Truman of Missouri. Under the bill, the borrowing railroad would agree to use 75 percent of the loan to re-employ workers furloughed since September 1, 1937, 5/5/38
