Summary: Thirteen-panel comic strip shows Uncle Walt and Baby Skeezix out for a ride in his roadster when the radiator boils over. Walt refills the radiator making 62 trips using his hat. Later Walt decides to solve future problems by buying a bigger hat. Gasoline Alley was begun in 1918 (or 1919) focusing on cars. Baby Skeezix arrived as a foundling in 1921 to add interest for women. The strip was the first in which the characters aged in real time. King died in 1969, but the strip is still published today.
