Title: Townsendites have a day at hearings. Washington, D.C., Feb. 8. Rep. Ralph O. Brewster, Maine, L.W. Jeffery, Vice President of the Townsend National Recovery Plan, Inc. and Dr. Towsend, going over a few points on their testimony before the hearings today of the House Ways and Means Committee. Rep. Brewster told the Committee that adoption of the Townsend Bill will allow the government to do away with other forms of relief and would allow the budget to be balanced, 2-8-39
