Summary: Illustration shows a crowd of apprehensive people on their hands and knees, creeping along under a dark thundercloud labeled 'Fear.' Lightning flashes, and black birds fly past a bent leafless tree. Art Young drew for a wide variety of publications from The Masses to the Saturday Evening Post. His increasingly left-wing views were show-cased in the humor magazine, Life, which for a time espoused support for socialism.
