Summary: Photographs show the Riis family at home in Ribe, Denmark; Richmond Hill; Barre, Mass.; and on holiday in Gowanda, N.Y. Views of Denmark, including Elsinore, Kronborg, and palaces in Fredriksburg and Copenhagen. U.S. industries, including brickyard in South River, N.J., Pennsylvania coal miners, and Southern mill workers. Views of Brady's Bend and Dexterville. Prints also include portraits of Riis, Theodore Roosevelt and family, American Indian pueblos, and a color view of Mulberry St. in New York City by Detroit Photographic Co. (LOT 12412, no. 71).
