Title information supplied by John Wickre, Minnesota Transportation Museum, 2006. (Unverified, old data from caption card identified photo as: 'First train that ran on the Great Northern Railway in 1852, in front of mammoth modern oil burning mountain type engine, at Glacier Park Station, Montana; men with horses, stage coach, ox and cart along tracks.') The William Crooks was manufactured in 1861 and first run on St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (predecessor of the Great Northern) in 1862. Photo possibly used as part of Great Northern publicity for their 'New Oriental Limited' passenger train during the 1920s.
