Started in 1958 by Jim Adams, J. Ernest Lambert, W.O. Crawford, E. Ham Wilson, Aubrey H. Fleming, C. Ed Teague, Edward Wadsworth and W.H. Gregory, The Southeastern Livestock Exposition was formed to promote the entire livestock industry. Since sponsoring the first Southeastern World Championship Rodeo at Garrett Coliseum in September of 1958, the 'Southeastern' has continued to put on the annual SLE Rodeo and worked to educate the public on the importance of Alabama's livestock Industry.
