Summary: Photo shows painter William Gropper and sculptor Morris Pass with the dog, Munchausen. In May 1925, they headed to Seattle, Washington, in a second-hand Ford bakery truck, with a dog received from fellow artist Hendrick Van Loon. They financed their trip by painting signs for businesses in the towns they drove through. Gropper returned to New York in October 1925.
