Title: A group of school children in the third and fourth grades of the Cowpens, S.C., School. All in the front row are 9 and 10 years old (compare these with the little children shown in #2970-75.) The principal said only one out of 10 in the school were mill children (and he was not apparently very anxious that they should be) 'The mill is only a small part of the village.' Location: Cowpens, South Carolina.
