Note on verso: Sanford 'Gus' Moeller, 77, master of rudimental snare drumming, in Spanish-American War uniform, as he'll appear in the Memorial Day parade Monday. Note hand-painted drum with American Eagle, similar to Civil War drums.
Newspaper clipping on verso: Gus Moeller (left as Spanish-American War drummer) not only is tops in drumming but maker of 'the best drums in the world.' At top he finishes the inside of a drum cask made on his own machines. And below he dabs with paintbrush on a Civil War-type snare drum.
