Barbecue; casting ballot in Byron, Illinois; testifying on campaign expenses before Nye Committee, 1930; with local, state, and national political figures, including Gov. Louis Emmerson, Alice Longworth, and a group of seven newly elected congresswomen, in April 1929. One photograph show Mrs. Medill McCormick with Paulina Longworth (daughter of House Speaker Longworth) at the Capital Society Children's Horse Show in Washington. Another shows her on the Nye Committee (Senate Slush Fund) with other senators.
