Title: Rural rehabilitation, Tulare County, California. In 1936 this family was on relief. With a Farm Security Administration (FSA) loan of seven hundred and eighty dollars, they were able to purchase and install an irrigating pump for the vineyard, a team, and the balance gave them subsistence and operating expenses for the first grape season. This house which the family has just finished building is made of adobe bricks, made from clay on the farm. The cash cost in building the house was about six hundred dollars
