Summary: Cartoon shows Uncle Sam leading the way with a drum labeled 'Registration Day' followed by eager young men leaping a barrier labeled 'Age Twenty-One.' When the United States entered World War I, a draft bill was passed and President Wilson issued a proclamation requiring men, age 21 to 35, to register for the draft on June 5, 1917. Most eligible men complied with enthusiasm on Registration Day.
