Southern cotton farmers today demanded that Congress retain the basic principles of the New Deal Farm Program but asked additional funds for benefit payments to producers. Ranson Aldridge, above, President of the Mississippi Farm Bureau federation, told a group of Senators and Representatives that we feel that in the frame work of the 1938 A.A.A. we have a program that can be made to work, 1/9/39
