Text on album cover translated from Ottoman Turkish: It has been presented as a gift to the National Library of the United States of America by His Majesty Emperor Abdülhamid II, King of the Kings al-Gazi, the Emperor of the Sublime Ottoman Empire which is based on the Divine Assistance. The year 1310. Text in English on album cover (on other side): Gift made by H.I.M. the Sultan Abdül-Hamid II to the National Library of the United States of America 1893.
