Politely executed by a large and enthusiastic body of voters Nov. 1896'; other tombstones in the cemetery are labeled 'Greenbacks. Here lies a craze that died for want of crazy people to support it', 'Plattism. Committed suicide by popular request Nov. 2nd 1897', at the foot of this grave is a wreath labeled 'From Croker', 'McKinley's Bimetallic Commission. Natural child of Free Silver. Perished in infancy because nobody loved it', at the foot of this grave is a wreath labeled 'Sen. Teller from Sen. Stewart', 'A.P.A. Only child of Know-Nothings, and a victim of heredity', Sectionalism (Bloody Shirt) died in spite of tender nursings by fanatics', 'Slavery died 1865 from natural causes', and 'Blaineism 1884'.
