Drawings are contained in 3 silk-bound volumes.
According to a note in the inside cover of volume 3, these watercolors were made by a Chinese artist between 1830 and 1840 after Peruvian drawings provided by Mrs. William Wheelwright. The original Peruvian drawings are attributed to Pancho Fierro based upon subject matter and style, and the Chinese watercolors are attributed to the studio of Tingqua (Kuan Lien-ch'ang) based upon a label in the front of each of the volumes.
