Summary: Eight images taken on June 28, 1919 the day of the signing of the peace treaty ending World War I, at Versailles, France. Images show flags at the Place Vendome; crowds at the fountain, in the gardens and on the terrace outside of the Hall of Mirrors; French cavalry guarding the road leading to the palace, the French Republican Guard, and two of twelve 'poilus' (French soldiers) invited to the ceremony.
