Summary: Wallpaper design with eagle and garland frieze. Accompanied by printed label describing the pattern: 'Number Forty Two. Top border for number forty one. Composed of a horizontal garland of green leaves, with a red althea flower in the centre and buds, on the top an arch ornamented with pearls, palms, and rossettes, and an eagle with extended wings in gold colours on a purple ground work. The same stars as those on the paper number forty one, are repeated between the arch and the garland. Messrs. Virchaux and Co. intend to execute this design of their own invention on every different ground with correspondent colours at their manufactory of Paper Hangings.'
