Summary: Fan-shaped print shows a nobleman wearing a long trailing robe, a counsellor for Emperor Yozei who is sitting on the right in the background, standing in front of the aged poetess Ono Komachi who is sitting outside a small building; the nobleman has delivered a poem from the Emperor to which Komachi responds by changing a single character to alter the meaning. Number 5 in the Nana Komachi series.
