Summary: Great variety of samples. Some illustrated; some typographical material. Occasional non-German items. Includes advertisements for printing related trades, machinery, automobiles, soap, consumer goods, books and periodicals. Also includes postcards, invitations, greeting cards, stationery samples, announcements, calendars, business cards, price lists, menus, brochures, train and ship schedules, bookmarks, concert programs, tickets, flyers, advertising cards and odd shaped printing examples.
Notes:
Most materials printed in German with a few items printed in Italian, French, English, Swedish, Dutch and Russian.
Ca. 450 of the items measure between 17 x 13 cm. and 60 x 52 cm. Most materials measure smaller than 5 x 7 inches.
A few of the postcards are addressed to A.M. Watzulik, Otto Wermann or Pierer'sche Hofbuchdruckerei of Altenberg, Germany.
