Note on verso: Plan parade at site of scheduled Robeson concert Vincent J. Boyle (pointing finger), conducts a meeting of various veterans groups at City Hall in Peeskill, N.Y., Sept. 2. The meeting was held to lay plans for a parade scheduled to be held near Peekskill at the same area where Paul Robeson, Negro singer, plans to appear at a concert, Sept. 4. A Robeson concert in Peekskill was disrupted last Aug. 27 by a verterans demonstration that resulted in a riot. Let to right (front): William Metzger, Vito Melite, Boyle, Milton Flynt and George Benziger. Left to right (rear): Bernard B. Weitz, Richard Jessen, J.J. Quinn, John Dillon, Carl Felgenhauer and Edward Champion.
