Summary: Four satirical vignettes. In the first vignette, two mechanical figures on one set of wheels stand face to face. One, identified as 'Cambon' holds an armless and legless figure labelled 'Congo.' The other, wearing a Prussian military helmet, holds a banner mocking the French motto 'Liberté, Egalité et Fraternité' as illusory. They fight over the Congo. In the second vignette, a flying financier, wearing the wings of an early aircraft, flies toward Brussels with gold he has taken from the gullible. In the third vignette, two toys, formally dressed in eighteenth century clothing try to outdo each other's impoliteness. In the fourth vignette, a toy dog, identified as the new guard of the Louvre, stands in formal clothing.
