John H. Fahey,Chairman of the Home Loan Bank Board,Washington,DC,Harris & Ewing

Title: Urges expanded powers for Home Loan Bank Board. Washington, D.C., May 11. Chairman John H. Fahey of the home Loan Bank board today told a Senate Banking and Currency Subcommittee that a bill to expand powers of the Board would stimulate housing and was very desirable in the Board's opinion. He pointed out that lifting the restriction from aiding in the construction of units for four families to permit larger construction programs would let us cooperate in building small apartment houses in the smaller cities, for which there is considerable demand, 5/11/38
