Liberated prisoners smoking cigarettes with G.I.'s; women and children looking at barracks in Wetzlar, Germany where they were held prisoner; women standing in underground armament factory. Bodies of men killed by retreating Germans, including victims of mass burning at Stalag Tekla near Leipzig. A few images show activities of American liberators including members of 3rd Armored Division photographing corpses; members of 2nd Infantry Division. One image of women holding babies, another of young children eating.
