George A. Renard of New York,National Association of Purchasing Agents,1939

Title: Secretary of purchasers' group says price behavior 'very satisfactory' since war. Washington, D.C., Dec. 5. George A. Renard of New York, Executive Secretary of the National Association of Purchasing Agents, today told the Monopoly Committee that he felt that price behavior of the last few months 'has been very satisfactory.' The Monopoly Committee, at the suggestion of the President, is holding hearings to determine the effect of the European war upon domestic prices. Renard's testimony directly contradicted yesterday's testimony by Isadore Lubin, who said that price trends indicate a disasterous boom
