Title: Franklin plans benefit bull fight. Sidney Franklin, only American who has ever gained pominence as a bull fighter, is back from Spain and is planning to put on a bloodless bull fight at Newark, N.J. on Nov. 20, the gate receipts to go for the benefit of the unemployed. The photograph shows Franklin exhibiting darts used in real bull fighting to Dr. John R. Mohler, chief of the Bureau of Animal Industry, Department of Agriculture, where Franklin called for information regarding importing bulls of fighting strain from Mexico. The darts would not be used in any psuedo bull fights that might be staged in this country. 11/20/30
