Frank G. Carpenter,Island of Capri,Bay of Naples,Vesuvius,Volcano emitting smoke
Title: The island of Capri off the Bay of Naples Steaming into the harbor of Naples allows one a view that is hardly surpassed in the world. Behind the ships at anchor in the blue waters of the bay a fringe of white villas lies at the bottom of towering Vesuivius [i.e., Vesuvius] brown, threatening and constantly emitting smoke as a warning to the grape growers who cling to its sides.
