Preliminary drawing for a print by Isaac Cruikshank, see SWANN - no. 352 (A size), and number 1 in the series, 'Familiar Ghosts.' The drawing differs from the print in coloring. Also, in the print, the scene takes place outdoors. The scenery in Woodward's drawing is undetermined.
