Note on verso: New Harness for Colorado River: Boulder City, Nev.: Waters of the Colorado River flow through radial gate outlets as work continues on spillway section and power plant of Davis Dam near here. Water at the dam is now about 70 feet deep and will rise to within a few feet of the 138-foot high embankment behind the dam when the spillway gates are completed and closed. First power from the project will be generated early in 1951 when the first of five 45,000 kilowatt generators goes on the line. Davis Dam is downstream from Hoover Dam (formerly Boulder Dam).
