Title: In spotlight at civil liberties hearing. Washington, D.C., July 2. 'We're going to keep this plant open whether you like it or not', Chicago Police told John B. Riffe, C.I.O. organizer, according to this testimony before the Senate Civil Liberties Committee today. He told of going to the Reublic Steel Corp., plant the night the strike was called and found 'about 150 policemen' with Capt. James L. Mooney in charge. The situation was tense Riffe said, 7/2/37
