Title: Cheney award to U.S. Air Corps heroes. Washington, D.C., May 8. For their heroic work in rescuing a crew from a burning balloon which took off from Fort Sill, Okla., last July, Maj. Frederick D. Lynch and staff Sergt. Joseph L. Murray, both of the U.S. Army Air Corps, were today presented with the Cheney Award for 1936.
