Title: Brazil signs bold agreement with U.S. Washington D.C. July 15. Brazil, through its Minister of Finance Arthur De Souza Costa, signed a financial agreement with the United States today. It was understood to involve Brazilian purchases of gold from the U.S. to the amount of $50,000,000 for purposes of exchange stabilization and as reserves for a proposed Brazil central bank.
