The 130th anniversary of the birth of Jefferson Davis, president of the short lived war, was observed at the Capitol today when Miss Imogene Smith, President of the Charles M. Stedman Children of the Confederacy, placed a wreath at his statue. On the left is Senator Walter F. George, of Georgia. Mrs. Walter D. Lamar, National President, Daughters of the Confederacy.
