Inscribed on verso: The Cavalry advancing to the attack of Fitz Hugh [Lee] and Lomax. There were 5 brigades regiments, by squadrons in line, of course, I have drawn but a portion of the line in the sketch. The bands played, and but for the firing it resembled a review./Gen. Custer.
