Signed in pencil with note: some of my artist friends like this proof better than other proof of plate in final state. - they think proof of final state too dark. Printed in 2 impressions. L. & D. Brown, Inc. Pencil note in another hand: there were only 3 or 4 proofs printed in this manner.
