Built by Dr. Stephen Duncan. House remarkable for spiral stair, vaulted hall-way and triple-hung windows. Fine example of ante-bellum home with kitchen courtyard, coach house and billiard hall. Donated to city by heirs of Dr. Duncan.

From verso: Towering Pillars. Lifting high toward the sky are the heavy pillars of Auburn at Natchez. Inside are drawing rooms, banquet halls, a team room, separate brick kitchen, bedrooms, etc. A spiral stairway is notable.
