The 19th century gold-toned originals were acquired from Col. Godwin Ordway in 1948; to these have been added prints made to order by the Handy Studio in 1905 and other reprints, all from the Anthony-Taylor-Rand-Ordway-Eaton collection of negatives used for the publication of F.T. Miller's Photographic History of the Civil War (1911).
