Summary: Three-panel comic strip showing Pete, a bearded prospector, and his young friend Kid Sid climbing a mountain in the Arctic, using a sled pulled by a muzzled polar bear who is eagerly following Sal, the burro. The group is on an exploratory trip prior to beginning a forty-day dash across the ice to Point Barrow. The strip, published in the Newark Evening News from Mar. 29-Oct. 2, 1926, was based on the cartoonist's experiences in the Klondike prospecting for gold.
