Shields, of Johnstown, PA., today told the Senate Civil Liberties Committee he had destroyed the records concerning the payment of approximately 500 special officers sworn in during the 'Little Steel' strike last summer. Asked why he destroyed them, shields said, as far as he was concerned the records were finished business with him, 3/10/38
