Site History. Also known as 'Floralia' and 'Flower Fete,' the event was on five acres with an exhibition of flowers, vegetables and garden sculpture. Mrs. Charles Wellford Leavitt was the director and Gertrude Vanderbilt (Mrs. Harry Payne) Whitney, James Fraser and Frederick MacMonnies sponsored the sculpture exhibit. Today: Garden not extant.
